The Ella T. Grasso Scholarship

The Ella T. Grasso Scholarship is awarded in memory of our former governor to a student with demonstrated community service and interested in government studies.

The recipient of the $500 Woodbury Democratic Party Ella T. Grasso Memorial
Scholarship for 2007 is Justin Krajeski. The son of Pamela and Gordon Krajeski, he graduated from Nonnewaug High School in 2007 and plans to attend Siena College to
pursue a degree in political science and history.

While at Nonnewaug, Justin was elected to membership in the Tri M Music Honor
Society. He was a member of the Jazz Band and the Pit Band and directed the Pep
Band. His additional interests include Youth Choir and Youth Core. In the athletic realm,
Justin was a member of the Nonnewaug Baseball team.

In conjunction with his church, Justin offered his musical abilities by playing his trumpet
at numerous church sponsored productions and services.
